Downsizing

Ever wonder what it might feel like to take all of your known possessions and downsize them to fit in the back of a minivan? Well that is what Mark and I did all last week. It is strange to try and decide what you can't live without for two years. Mark and I filled six super boxes from Lowes with all of our essentials for life overseas. Below is a picture.

We have made it to Virginia for our training. Mark's parents met us here and helped us get settled. I was a little worried if I would freak out emotionally when we got here, with reality setting in, but instead I experienced a calm sense of peace, a knowing that this truly is God's plan for our family. Knowing you are in God's will doesn't exempt you from negativity and persecutions (goodness knows we have endured are fair share of strange looks, "glad I'm not you", " I thought you were a smart girl" etc.) but the assurance of His company makes it worth it!
